My Life in France: CHNI Culinary Book Club

Join the Culinary Historians of Northern Illinois as they hold their first virtual culinary book club event. Celebrate what would have been the 108th birthday of Julia Child with a discussion of My Life in France, written by Julia with her grandnephew Alex Prud'homme. Fun fact: Sidonie Coryn, a longtime resident of St. Charles, Illinois, was the illustrator for both volumes of Julia Child's famous Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Though she knew little about cooking, Paul Child would send her black and white photos of the dishes and preparations. She passed away in 2015.
